Months of creating, building and developing FevNet Rovers structure both on and off the field has landed Team Manager, Chris Taylor with the RFL Young Volunteer of the Year 2008 for the Wakefield & District Area.
Tasks from creating a trustworthy hard-working committee to organising a 12 team tag tournament.Chris will be awarded his trophy at half time of the Wakefield Trinity Wildcats Vs Castleford Tigers game.
Chris commented "The sheer hard work done by everybody connected to the club, from the committee right down to the fantastic support we get each week, its just phenomenal the way we are progressing."
"Thanks to Featherstone Rovers, who have helped us develop our club, they've shown there community spirit on several occasions with the hosting of league matches, tag tournaments and meetings. This is only the start of the link between the clubs as we look to have events in the near future at the Atrium"
The good news doesn't stop there, FevNet Rovers are once again in the next edition of Code 13 Magazine, whilst also close to finalising details with Pontefract Hospice in an attempt to raise as much money as possible for them.
